Publication Ethics
Multiverse Journal (MVJ) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. All stakeholders—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must adhere to these ethical guidelines. MVJ follows the principles set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism:
Submitted work must be original and free from plagiarism. All sources must be properly cited and acknowledged.
Multiple or Redundant Publication:
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
Authorship:
Only individuals who made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All co-authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.
Data Access and Retention:
Authors may be requested to provide raw data for editorial review and should retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their manuscript.
2. Responsibilities of Editors
Fair Decisions:
Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance—without discrimination of any kind.
Confidentiality:
Editors must keep all manuscript information confidential and disclose details only to those directly involved in the editorial process.
Handling Misconduct:
Editors are responsible for taking appropriate action when ethical concerns arise, including issuing corrections, retractions, or investigations.
3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Confidentiality:
Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared.
Objectivity:
Reviews must be objective and constructive, without personal criticism of the authors.
Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers should identify uncited relevant literature and report any suspected plagiarism or ethical issues.
Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline reviews when such conflicts exist.
4. Publisher’s Responsibilities
Ethical Oversight:
MVJ ensures ethical publishing practices throughout all editorial and production stages.
Digital Archiving and Access:
The journal guarantees long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content through secure digital archiving.
Retractions and Corrections:
Where necessary, MVJ publishes corrections, retractions, or errata to maintain scholarly integrity.
5. Dealing with Misconduct
MVJ investigates all allegations of research misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, and authorship violations. Actions may include:
- Initiating a formal investigation
- Notifying authors and requesting their response
